Fascinating idea
I just had the most fascinating idea; if a god exists, he/she possibly is a machine. We make machines to improve upon organic life. A truck is a better horse, a computer is a better brain. Machines we have now are greater than us in some fields, but we still are superior to them. And as we know, space is nearly infinite, there are more stars than grains of sand, and each star is a cluster of bodies in space. It is very likely that humanity is not the only intelligent life in the universe. So imagine that an intelligent civilization built a machine so superior, that we, and they, would consider it a god. A god is a being superior to normal life and machines are closely becoming superior to life. I’m not saying life was started by a big alien robot in space, but I am saying that their could be a machine out their that was so advanced, that we would see it as a god. You might object that a god’s are perfect and could never come from lesser beings. I know at least from the Greek/roman religions, the Titans gave birth to the Gods, who then destroyed the Titans. Titans created greater beings, and were destroyed by them. I don’t know enough about other religions to cite other examples, but the Greek/roman one works. Just an interesting thought I had, kinda weird, but who knows…
